Marvel is a lovely, masculine Icelandic with great substance, coat and am unmistakable head. He was his owner, Aryn's, first Icelandic Sheepdog, but not the last, and they are both a valued part of the Icelandic Sheepdog community. Despite having to travel out of their area for all of his points, Marvel finished his championship easily and has been recognized by judges against other top ranked specials. He is also a versatile performance dog, with titles in rally, coursing and scent work, and regular training in herding and agility. He has a classic, easy-going Icelandic temperament, loves all people, is amiable with other dogs, has a great off-switch but plenty of drive to work. Marvel was the very first Icelandic born at Red Cedar and we are very proud of him and Aryn both!
Unfortunately, Marvel has been sterile all of his life. Despite many interventions with top reproductive vets, we were unable to fix this. He was recently neutered and had his testicles sent to pathology, which we will share the findings of. He has lived with his owner Aryn all his life and will continue to do so, and continue his sports career!
Marvel's accomplishments include:
2023: finished his Grand Championship, earned his UKC novice nosework championship
2022: made the cut at the ISAA National Specialty, finished his scent work container novice title with multiple high placements (and high placements in other elements), multiple GCH majors placing over top ranked specials
2021: new AKC champion, first GCH major/CH defeat that same week
2020: new rally novice title, four and five point majors at Oklahoma City shows
2019: new UKC champion, multiple UKC group placements, multiple NOHS group placements, top 10 NOHS Icelandic Sheepdog

CH Red Cedar Tri-Star Long Walk to Pemberley
Lizzie is a beautiful, sound girl, standing out with her chocolate sable coloring. She also stayed local to us with her owner Rhea. She has a fantastic temperament - great with dogs, kids (she lives with two in single digits), people, puppies, cats etc. Lizzie is an athletic girl who is lighter on coat, with a busy owner who is brand new to the dog show world, but even so, she has a major toward her championship and hits the show ring occasionally! Rhea is a dog trainer, so Lizzie works as a demo dog in addition to competing in rally and scent work (Rhea teaches scent work classes). She also loves her frisbee and swimming! Her bombproof temperament and seamless adaptability is exactly what we want in an Icelandic Sheepdog. Lizzie gave us a beautiful litter of Icelandic Sheepdog puppies in March 2023 and was an excellent mother, both in her attention and care for her puppies, and her ability to produce her lovely structure and temperament. Lizzie went back to the show ring and finished her championship with a group placement, and multiple wins over specials along the way.
Lizzie gave us one beautiful litter, and has now been spayed and will live out her life with her owner Rhea and family.
2024: Finished her championship
2023: Finished up her scentwork novice title, took best of breed over a special for her second major and followed it up with a regular herding group four
2022: Earned her rally novice title, reserve winners at the AKC National Championship in Orlando
2021: Earned a four point major at her first show!

GCHB CH RED CEDAR THRYMHEIM HEART OF A DYING STAR RI SCN SIN CGC TKI
Neva and her owner Jan live locally, so we get to see them often! Neva is Jan's first show dog, and they've already had great success in the ring together. She is a smart, active girl who loves everyone, and is showing as much promise in performance sports as she has in the show ring. She is an easy-going girl who can adapt to new situations easily, making her a great travel companion for shows as she fits in with everyone - dog or human. She finished her championship completely owner handled with five major wins, and earned her grand championship easily the same year. She and Jan worked their way all the way to their Bronze Grand Championship, along with numerous sport titles, especially in scent work and barn hunt.
Unfortunately, due to fertility issues, Neva is retired from breeding, but she has continued to show and play sports with Jan!
Some of Neva's accomplishments include:
2024: Multiple BOB wins, NOHS group 1, #4 NOHS and #7 breed Icelandic (CC March 31), finished GCHB
2022: Award of Excellence at the AKC National Championship, BOS for majors over top specials earlier in the week
2021: Finished AKC championship and grand championship all owner handled, NOHS group 4 their first time in group
2020: Four point major and five point major reserve at their first AKC show
2019: Reserve Best Novice Puppy in Show (UKC)

TRI-STAR HROI HOTTUR ALIA RN CGC TKN
We were lucky to lease Alia from her breeder, Sheryl Thelen, of Tri-Star Icelandics. AKC MAJOR POINTED THRYMHEIM'S LAGERTHA RN CGC TKN ATT
Lagertha is a beautiful, sweet Icelandic bitch co-owned with Thrymheim Kennels in Michigan. Both of her parents are imports from Iceland. She has a beautiful, feminine face and very strong double dewclaws. Her father has produced multiple AKC Champions, including a Best in National Specialty winner. Lagertha earned a Canine Good Citizen title at just 12 weeks old, and spent several years growing up as a farm dog before joining us in Texas. In just two shows, she is halfway to her championship, earned her rally novice title, and she was the first Icelandic Sheepdog to pass the new AKC temperament test.
Lagertha returned to Michigan after giving us two beautiful litters of puppies with Link in October 2018 and June 2019. Thank you to Cathy Lallemand for allowing this special girl to join us in Texas. Sadly, she passed of surgical complications in spring 2023. We are grateful to have her children to carry on her legacy.
