Andi x Lizzie
GCHB CH Hrafna Andi PCD RI FDC VISB x CH Red Cedar Tri-Star Long Walk to Pemberley RN SWN CGC TKN
Andi and Lizzie welcomed six beautiful babies (three boys, three girls) on March 3, 2023! All puppies are spoken for, but check out the weekly photo progression at the bottom of this page!
We are very excited about this long anticipated breeding. Andi was bred by Karen Riggin and Piper O'Donnell with Hrafna/Maplesong kennel, and is just two days older than Link. When they met as puppies, it was almost impossible to tell them apart when they were running around playing! Both boys went on to be beautiful examples of their breed, with titles on both sides of their names, and both have had successful careers as service dogs. Karen, Piper and I have wanted to cross these lines for years - the dogs compliment each other nicely and are extremely similar in type despite a low COI. Both Andi and Lizzie are highly social with people and other dogs and confident and adaptable in new environments.

GCHB CH Hrafna Andi PCD RI FDC VISB
Andi is a highly accomplished dog both in and out of the ring! He works as a service dog for his handler/owner, in addition to showing in conformation and dabbling in performance. Ruth got Andi when she was a junior and in 4-H and has trained and handled him throughout his career. He has a wonderful temperament - social with other dogs and people but cares most about his person, a fantastic off-switch at home and ability to settle out and about. He also assists his owner and her family on their small farm keeping livestock in line and watching over young or injured animals as his humans care for them. He is not a big barker and extremely easy to live with, and handles new experiences confidently and calmly.
As a show dog, he has had tremendous success! He is a multiple group winner and group placer both in regular and NOHS groups. He has won a Best Owner Handled in Show and Reserved Best Owner Handled in Show. He is the number one owner handled Icelandic Sheepdog of all time, and ended 2021 as the number three Icelandic Sheepdog in breed and all breed with an invite to Westminster. He accomplished this at seven years old - as a "veteran," he is in his prime and a great testament to the longevity of this breed. Andi was select dog at Westminster in 2021 and 2016, select dog at the ISAA National Specialty in 2019 and Best Opposite/Best Owner Handled at the Ohio regional specialty in 2021. Andi comes from a beautiful, consistent pairing with 5 out of 6 siblings having their AKC championships (the sixth puppy is in Canada and has not been shown but has performance titles).
