Link and Alia welcomed seven beautiful puppies on June 23, 2020. All puppies have been placed and we are looking forward to seeing what they do with their new families.
Link and Alia are both easy to live with and on the quiet side for the breed, but have the stamina and willingness to hike, swim, or spend a day at a dog sport event on any given day. Both dogs are natural free-stackers who move easily over a variety of terrain and have had no issues with soundness. They both are willing to please, love people, and get along well with other dogs and cats. We expect this litter to produce drivey, athletic Icelandic Sheepdogs with easy to care for coats, social temperaments and good off-switches.
We are also excited about the pedigree of this litter: Alia is from a frozen semen breeding repeat litter, by two time Westminster breed winner, group winning GCHB CH Bjarkarkots Hroi Hottur Luke PT MX AXJ MXP5 MXPS MJP4 MJPB PAX OF (Luke). She is a full sister to two time Westminster breed winner, National Specialty BOS, group placing GCHB CH Tri-Star Jord CDX BN RE FDC CAX BCAT THDN RATO CGCA TKI (Rain) and littermate to two time Westminster breed winner, National Specialty select dog, group winning GCHB CH Tri-Star Hroi Hottur Roy FDC NAP (Roy). Link's sire is the first BIS winning Icelandic Sheepdog, GCHB CH Eyjahunda Thorarinn PT CGC (Bubbie). Both Link and Alia are half siblings to the first CH MACH in the breed, GCH CH MACH Stubborn Elm's Ylfa MXS MJS XF (Scout). Scout is out of Link's dam and by Alia's sire.

CH Red Cedar Tri-star vivacious rainbow of joy
Unun is from our Link x Alia litter. She is co-owned with Ruth Phillips in Connecticut. Ruth has two other Icelandic Sheepdogs and trains and competes in conformation, rally, obedience and agility. She was the first born, and had a "look at me!" attitude from the start. She was the first one to escape the litter box and often the first to approach novel objects. Unun finished her championship with three majors before her second birthday and we are looking forward to all she will accomplish in the future!
Red Cedar Tri-Star Our Tame Racing Driver
Stig is a beloved pet who stayed in Texas with a wonderful family and another dog "sibling." His owner says he is "full of energy and constantly makes us laugh," and a very affectionate cuddler.
GCH CH Red Cedar Tri-Star Sevy RN aTT
Sevy is an energetic and friendly guy who stayed local! His family even took him through all the manners classes at the training facility where I work. He loves "his" kids and is a wonderful companion to his people. He made his show ring debut at the 2022 Icelandic Sheepdog National Specialty, placing in his bred-by class each day! He completed his rally novice title with ease and has shown occasionally in the bred-by class since then (when his owners are kind enough to let me borrow him!). In December 2022, he finished his championship with four majors in two weekends! In 2023, he spent time out as a special, and is the #4 Icelandic Sheepdog in the country as of 10/31/23, with multiple NOHS group placements.

Gibby is a natural show dog! Her owner had never competed in conformation before, so when she went into the ring for the first time she wasn't sure what to expect - but she picked up winners bitch for a major! Gibby also earned another major during the cluster, and was reserve to the major twice. She went on to finish her championship with all majors, completely owner handled. Gibby is a very sweet girl who loves people, and is a fast learner - she's been training for obedience, rally, barn hunt and more!
CH Red Cedar Tri-Star Frodo Baggins of the Shire
Frodo is a spunky, social guy whose main job is being the best friend to a six year old girl. He is being trained in agility and dock diving, and will continue to show in the breed ring as he and "his" kid mature. He was the first of this litter to earn his championship, and he did it in two weekends with all majors! His owner has won national championships and been on world teams in agility with her border collies, and she has said he is no different when training - he is smart, biddable and has good stamina for work.
CH Red Cedar Tri-Star Long walk to Pemberley RN SWN CGC TKN
Lizzie is a beautiful, sound girl, standing out with her chocolate sable coloring. She also stayed local to us with a coworker of mine. She has a fantastic temperament - great with dogs, kids (she lives with two), people, puppies, cats etc. Lizzie is still maturing out of her teenager phase, but even so, she earned a major in Oklahoma City on our last day. She also tried out CAT/chase ability for the first time - she took to it instantly and qualified with a steady run after the lure for 600 yards. Since then she has branched out into more performance sports - excelling at rally and nosework! She has 13 points and both majors toward her AKC championship.

Sadly, we lost Isla to a sudden GI hemorrhage in March 2022.
Isla is exactly everything I was hoping for from this pairing. She is an incredibly engaged and focused pup, and shows tons of promise for a future as a sport dog. She also had a great start to her conformation career - taking three BPUP group firsts in a row at her very first show! At her first show as a class bitch, she went reserve to a major, as well as earning her rally novice title. Since then, she's gone Winner's Bitch and Best Opposite over specials for a five point major. She debuted in barn hunt with some sharp performances, including earning high in class with a 19 second run for her novice title. She's shown equal promise for scentwork - qualifying in 22 of 24 runs in her first two weekends of trialing, in addition to working as a demo dog for novice classes right after she moved up. She is working at the advanced/excellent level in all elements now and she is a firecracker - all the judges have commented how fun she is to watch. She's showing great promise in herding - at her first trial she earned her HT (herding tested) and PT (pretrial tested) herding titles.
At home, she is very cuddly, she wants to be touching me as often as she can, follows me around the house, and settles well. She is social or tolerant to other dogs and people if they interact with her, but she does not seek them out like some dogs do. This biddability and devotion is really showing as we are working on obedience and agility skills!
