Finley x Pirate
Koivunevan Irish Coffee CM x Afloat's Girls Can Be Pirates RN ACT1 RATN RATI CGC TKN
Finley is a Finnish import who came to stay with us for a couple of months from Connecticut to breed to Pirate. He is a very social, agreeable boy with a high prey drive but easy to live with. Finley has been quite successful in AKC open and miscellaneous shows. He provides great genetic diversity - the COI of this litter was extremely low, which is important in a rare breed. Pirate gave us four beautiful Norrbottenspets girls on April 3, 2018. She had an extremely easy whelping, with all four born in less than 45 minutes. Pirate is an excellent mother and made our job extremely easy. Two of the four girls went to breeding homes and will be contributing to the growth of the Norrbottenspets breed in the U.S.
Red Cedar - Hrafna Full of Strange Promise
Beacon is co-owned with Karen of Hrafna Kennels, who also breeds Icelandic Sheepdogs. She is a wonderful ambassador for the breed who "works" at a local feed store and greets visitors daily, in addition to helping to keep any invading mice under control. Beacon has also done multiple Meet the Breeds events and benched shows, where she meets thousands of people throughout the day as part of education about Norrbottenspets. Beacon has 11 of the 15 points required for her AKC Certficiate of Merit and we look forward to her being a part of helping the breed to be fully recognized by AKC!
Red Cedar Into the Mystic
Marina is one of the girls from this litter helping to grow the Norrbottenspets breed in the US. She went to live with Kelly and her dog River Run Bandit, after we analyzed their pedigrees and determined them to be a good match for each other. A certain number of litters born and dogs registered are required before the breed can reach full AKC recognition. Marina had her first litter of her own on March 31, 2020.
Red Cedar Secret of the Sea
Kona lives a wonderful life in California. Her owners had been waiting years for a Norrbottenspets and are a great match for this fun little dog. She travels a lot, in addition to spending time at daycare - enough that they painted a portrait of her on their walls. Her owners describe her as sweet, curious and independent.
Red Cedar Sailor's Rescue
Annie is the one puppy from this litter that stayed locally, which means we have been able to see her all grown up. She has a high prey drive and is described as an "excellent excavator." She is curious and loves to investigate new smells.
